At Bean Buro, we believe that art is an integral part of the poetic narrative of a space, where the collaboration between designers and artists creates a deeper connection between the environment and those who inhabit it.

Building a Network of Artistic Talent

Over the years, we have developed a network of international specialist artists, allowing us to collaborate and produce artworks that resonate with the themes and stories embedded in our interior designs. This network enables us to integrate bespoke, meaningful art into our projects, enhancing the spaces we create. These collaborations are not merely decorative; they are part of the design process, adding a dimension that connects with the soul of the space.

Blending Craftsmanship and Luxury

One of our most recent collaborations was with The Fabrick Lab, led by Elaine Ng. Together, we crafted a striking 3D wall art installation for a reception space in Hong Kong, using leather off-cuts from our client’s French ultra-luxury fashion business. The leather, once a symbol of craftsmanship and luxury, was repurposed into an artistic narrative that speaks to the heritage of the client. This installation served as more than a visual centrepiece; it became a symbol of identity and sustainability, deeply connected to the client’s brand story.

Nature-Inspired Art for a Poetic Workplace

In our ‘Mountain Office’ project—a show office design for Landmark South in Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong—we collaborated with Elsa Jeandedieu Studio. The poetic narrative of the interior design was rooted in the surrounding mountainous landscape, inspiring a series of mountain paintings and a mural that bring the beauty of nature into the workspace. The flowing forms and natural hues of the artwork create a serene atmosphere, aligning with the calm and sophisticated mood of the office, while also providing a tactile connection to the environment outside.

Artisanal Furniture: The Bean Table

For Sino Group’s chairman’s office, we partnered with resin artist Agape to create a one-of-a-kind Bean Table, an artisanal console table with a marble-like resin top. This piece is more than just a piece of furniture; it is an expression of craftsmanship and artistry, designed to reflect the fluidity and elegance of the space it occupies. The table’s organic form and refined finish blend seamlessly with the luxurious setting of the office, offering a touch of creative energy and a tactile element that invites interaction.

Dynamic Visual Stories for Warner Music

Our work for Warner Music’s Asia Pacific offices exemplifies our ability to blend visual storytelling with brand identity. We collaborated with mural and visual artists such as Hong Kong-based Japanese artist TAXA, Taiwan-based artist DEBE, and Indonesia-based artist TEMPA. Each artist brought their unique style and cultural perspective to the project, creating murals and artworks that connect with Warner Music’s dynamic spirit and creative energy. The resulting artworks transform the office environment, turning corridors and walls into canvases that celebrate the brand’s legacy and vision.

Art as a Living Part of Design

Through these collaborations, we seek to elevate the spaces we design, making art a living part of the interior experience. Our approach ensures that each piece of art is carefully curated to reflect the character of the space, the story of the client, and the atmosphere we aim to create. Whether it’s a mural that captures the essence of a landscape, a bespoke installation that honours a brand’s heritage, or an artisanal piece that brings a touch of the unexpected, our work with artists breathes life into our designs.

A Journey of Creative Partnerships

At Bean Buro, our journey in creating poetic interiors is enriched by the collaborations we foster with artists around the world. These partnerships allow us to transform spaces into immersive experiences that go beyond function, inviting a sense of wonder, reflection, and connection. By bringing together the worlds of art and design, we craft environments that are not only visually compelling but also deeply meaningful, resonating with those who experience them, turning spaces into stories that unfold with time.
