“Our main concept for this boutique hotel was to create a sociable F&B + co-working environment at street level to respond to the vibrant dining streetscape.”
— Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, co-founder of Bean Buro
Our vision was to create an elegant and luxurious identity for the building as a new landmark in the neighbourhood. Our scope included the refurbishment of a new facade at podium level and the roll-out of hotel en-suites on each building floor.
The new facade would create a new atrium for the first four levels of the building, linking the lower street to the side road on a lower level, allowing customers to flow into the building at both levels to enjoy the F&B facilities.
For the mood & feel, we took inspiration from an impressionist painting into a natural and earthy palette of timber, brass, leather, terrazzos, and blue-green colours.
