• Lorène Faure / Founding Director

    Born in Paris, Lorène Faure is a qualified French DESA (hmonp) architect. After studying under Sir Peter Cook at Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris and graduating with honours, she became a finalist for the prestigious President’s Silver Medal competition. Lorène cultivated her expertise in London, working as an associate and senior designer for prominent design studios before co-founding Bean Buro in Hong Kong in 2013. She was named a 40 Under 40 laureate by Perspective and a finalist for the Prodigy in the INDE. Awards in 2017. As a WELL Accredited Professional, Lorène promotes a dedication to wellbeing and environmentally conscious design, supporting Bean Buro’s commitment to sustainable and innovative architectural interiors.

  • Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui / Founding Director

    Born in Hong Kong, Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui is of half-Chinese and half-Japanese heritage and studied at UCL The Bartlett School of Architecture. His early career led him to work with award-winning firms such as the Richard Rogers Partnership and Urban Salon Architects. As an educator, he taught at several prestigious institutions, including UCL The Bartlett School of Architecture and The Royal College of Art. Co-founding Bean Buro in Hong Kong in 2013, Kenny has since been honoured as a 40 Under 40 laureate by Perspective and was a finalist for the Prodigy in the INDE. Awards for creative prowess in the Asia-Pacific. At the studio, Kenny infuses his passion for design research and creative direction, fostering an environment where storytelling and creativity are fundamental elements of project development.

  • Hannah Wang / Senior Operations Manager

    Hannah grew up and studied in Hong Kong and the United States. Before joining Bean Buro, Hannah had worked in the Fortune 500 multinational corporation managing the office and dealing with clients and external partners. At Bean Buro, Hannah is responsible for business development, fee proposals, and contractual liaison with clients and our external partners. Hannah also assists in the finance administration, human resources and the day to day management of the studio. Her friendly and trusting nature keeps our clients and colleagues at ease. When she is not at work, Hannah loves to attend church meetings, and read up on current affairs.

  • Celia Lee / Operations Manager

    Born and raised in Hong Kong, Celia graduated from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle. With approximately 8 years of professional experience, Celia has been immersed in the construction industry since 2021, bringing a wealth of expertise in customer relations and office administration from previous roles. Outside of work, Celia enjoys traveling, watching movies, and listening to pop music, always seeking inspiration from diverse cultures and creative expressions.

  • Amanda Tsui / Marketing, PR & Branding Manager

    Amanda has a creative background with a Bachelor of Arts in Textile Design from Central Saint Martins in London. Having grown up in a multicultural environment and lived in London for almost a decade, Amanda has a unique perspective of the creative industry, which informs her all-rounded support on the marketing, PR and branding activities for Bean Buro. Out of the studio, you can find Amanda listening to and playing music, watching films, or capturing moments behind the lens of a film camera. Amanda is also DJ of our studio to ensure we only listen to good music.

  • Jamie Yue / Senior Project Lead

    Jamie grew up in Singapore and obtained her BA(AS) and MArch from The University of Hong Kong. Having worked and lived in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and US, she is experienced in interior design with particular strengths in the luxury residential and hospitality sector. She has also served as Teaching Assistant for the Master of Architecture programme at The University of Hong Kong. Jamie has worked on exciting projects at Bean Buro, including a new workplace for Sino Group and a luxury residential house on The Peak. In her spare time, she enjoys catching up on contemporary art news, travelling and floral design.

  • Florence Chardonnal / Project Lead & FF&E Designer

    Born and raised in France, Florence moved to Hong Kong in 2018 and has immersed herself with humility and curiosity into the colours and culture of the city. It is partly in thanks to her experience in Paris as interior designer that she has developed an instinctive mastery in weaving together cultural influence and an authentic take on sophisticated living. She breathes life into her creations through the deliberate choice of noble and refined materials. Florence approaches each project with diligence and commitment to deliver unique results. At Bean Buro, Florence has worked on commercial workplaces such as 54,000sqft office for a major bank, and luxury residential projects.

  • Joy Lucas / Project Lead

    Joy is a Registered and Licensed Architect from the Philippines. She studied BS Architecture in University of Santo Tomas. After few years working in her home country as Project Architect, Joy moved to Hong Kong and worked in luxury residential interiors across Asia and hospitality projects in London. Approaching each project with integrity and commitment, Joy is passionate about translating project visions into reality, creating curated tangible results in line with design narrative. Previously, she worked on Ropeok’s 60,000sqft office n Shanghai. At Bean Buro, she is working on a new headquarters for Empire Group. With much interest in nature, food and culture, Joy loves to explore new cities and try new cuisines.

  • Geng Tian / Project Lead

    Geng grew up in mainland China and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture at Tongji University in Shanghai. He then received his Master’s Degree in Architecture in Switzerland. He is qualified as a Swiss Registered Architect. Before joining Bean Buro, Geng had worked as an architect/interior designer on a variety of projects in Zürich, Lausanne, Kyoto, and Shanghai. At Bean Buro, Geng’s work includes exciting commercial projects overseas for Best World International and Warner Music, as well as a residential development in Hong Kong. Out of the studio, you can find Geng roaming the city, hiking, and exploring cafés.

  • Michelle So / Project Lead

    Born and raised in Hong Kong, Michelle pursued her education at Chelsea College, University of the Arts London. Michelle has substantial experience in workplace and commercial design. She has worked on numerous projects of varying scales and typologies, with a distinguished portfolio of clients. Michelle has found her niche constructing unique spatial experiences and developing compelling brand narratives. Approaching each brief individually, she tailors every space meticulously by ensuring that it embodies both unique characteristics and functional excellence. Beyond her professional pursuits, Michelle takes pleasure in wine tasting and exploring landscapes.

  • Michael Wong / Senior Interior Designer

    Born and raised in Hong Kong, Michael studied in the UK, graduating from the University of Brighton with a first-class honours BA (Hons) degree in Interior Architecture. He is an attentive designer who enjoys using decorative details to produce calm and versatile interior spaces. At Bean Buro, Michael's projects include workplace designs for Empire Group, AXA and Anglo-Eastern. His hobbies include model-making, going to concerts, and driving around the city in his favourite vintage car.

  • Beatrice Andres / Architectural Designer

    Beatrice was born and raised in the Philippines, but moved to Hong Kong a decade ago and has lived here ever since. She graduated with a first class honours BA (Hons) Architecture degree from the University of Lincoln. In 2018, Beatrice had the opportunity to travel to Norway for an exchange study. During her time there, she learned about designing with the contextual environment, and translated her experience into her final project— to design a spaces that speaks to both the tangible and intangible aspects of the place. In her spare time, Beatrice enjoys being with her friends and family, listening to music, and playing drums for her church’s worship band.

  • Patrick Wiejoyo / Architectural Designer

    Born and raised in Indonesia, Patrick later ventured to Hong Kong for his undergraduate studies, culminating in a BA (Hons) in Architecture from the University of Lincoln. His ethos revolves around creating spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical. Believing in the significance of each design element serving a distinct purpose, he merges functionality with elegance to evoke a sense of calm and purpose in his designs. With a carefree and creative spirit, Patrick can often be found strolling around the city with his camera and enjoying the local cuisine.

  • Justine Wu / Interior Designer

    Justine was born and raised in Hong Kong and studied in Canada. Before joining Bean Buro, she has worked on residential, commercial, and office projects, which has developed skills in both technical design and construction details. Coming from a creative background, she aims to produce designs with a problem-solving approach by paying attention to detail and putting pieces together in a functional end result, while positively impacting people's lives. Outside of work, Justine enjoys watersports, music festivals, and exploring places with her friends and family.

  • Aman Chan / Interior Designer

    Born and raised in Hong Kong, Aman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Environment and Interior Design from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With a focus on crafting harmonious spaces, she collaborates with clients to bring their design aspirations to reality. With a breadth of design experience in Hong Kong, Aman has worked on commercial and residential spaces, as well as public installations. During her personal time, Aman derives great pleasure from movies and immersing herself in Japanese culture.

  • Phoebe Yeung / Architectural Designer

    Phoebe was born and raised in Hong Kong, and pursued her studies in Architectural Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. With extensive experience in designing commercial projects, she endeavours to create spaces embodying calmness and tranquillity. Intrigued by the aesthetics of proportionality and meticulous details, Phoebe holds a deep interest in classical architecture. Phoebe appreciates the art of storytelling as she believes it possesses the potential to connect individuals on a profound level. In line with this, she enjoys engaging in activities such as reading novels and watching films.

  • Alvin Bunjaya / Architectural Designer

    Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, Alvin relocated to Hong Kong to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architectural Study from The University of Hong Kong. He has executed a range of projects across Hong Kong, China, South Korea and the US, from single penthouses to commercial buildings, to revitalisations of heritage buildings, and a sustainable R&D lab office. Alvin’s work has gained recognition, being featured in the Seoul Biennale and other architectural exhibitions. Known for his easy-going nature, Alvin can often be found enjoying a movie night or leading worship at his church.

  • Hyo Jin Kim / Interior Designer

    Hyo Jin was born in South Korea but grew up in Germany and Mainland China. She graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before joining Bean Buro, she managed food and beverage projects from inception to completion, which honed her coordination and problem-solving skills. In her designs, she seeks to translate the surrounding environment into harmonious and functional spaces for users. In her free time, she enjoys street photography and playing tennis with friends from her church.

  • Brian Yau / Assistant Operations Manager

    Brian was born and raised in Hong Kong and graduated from the University of Hong Kong. Brian is fluent in handling clients’ enquiries, and liaison with the studio’s many suppliers and external partners. He also assists in the administration of finance, human resources, recruitment, and manages the day to day management of the studio space to ensure our team can work in a happy and comfortable environment.
